I found this guy while exploring the tide pools at Makapu‘u. I got there too late to save him.

  1. Awesome! Great contrast of light and dark. It's that push and pull of light and dark that makes great photos like this. Odd looking crab by the way. Never seen one so red that hasn't been cooked.

  2. Poor crab! :-( Despite the fact that this crab is a goner it's a good shot. The red color pops against the black lava rock. I like the texture and specks within the rock too.
