Finally. It's about time I turned something in. I didn't travel around much with my camera. So I shot around my apartment. This is my roommate, Matt, as seen through his shelves.
ISO: 500 Exposure: f/4.0 Shutter Speed: 1/30 Focal: 27.0 mm
Nice photo. I like how your roommate is on his computer and there's the computer! I like the Christmas card still hanging around, but I found the lock in the foreground distracting.
Well done. Nice use of depth of field, blurring out the foreground to accent your focal point. A good demonstration of the rule of thirds, too, with Matt in the upper right portion of the photo.
I'm with Jason on the lock, though. Maybe move slightly to the right next time to keep it out of Matt's hair (or call a locksmith to get rid of it if you don't have the key).
Great shot Joe. I really like the colors in this one (the back of the computer and the cords and also the Christmas card). It's a good profile of your roommate as well. My favorite thing about this shot is the angle. Good eye!
It's July 2011, and we're back with photo challenges! This time around, we're going for one challenge a month and each of us can turn in up to 5 photos. For July's challenge, I chose water because it's been raining. In July. Just stop already! But I guess that's what make the aina green. - Jason
